I like to draw, solve new problems and create new experiences.
'Hold Me Tight' is a short and simple montage which delivers a relatable story to the viewer. The music elevates the animation and creates a sense of longing for the characters.
This commission features custom maps of two hometowns, each capturing a moment in time. Designed for large-format canvas prints at 40" x 40", these pieces blend cartographic detail with personal significance. The maps serve as both striking wall art and meaningful markers of where their individual stories began.
Posters can capture attention and convey messages in a split second, while also rewarding deeper contemplation with layers of meaning and artistic detail.
The 'Progress not perfection' collection is a study in improvement through iteration.
The 'Progress Not Perfection' collection shows how great work comes from iteration, not perfection. Each digital drawing has two versions, celebrating the power of refinement over flawless first attempts. Like any creative process, excellence comes from being willing to evolve and adapt – whether in code, art, or life.
These paired drawings explore how subtle changes can transform a piece. Each Version 2 builds on its predecessor, sometimes with small adjustments in color or composition, other times with bold new elements.
It's a visual reminder that creativity isn't about getting it right the first time – it's about staying curious enough to ask "what if?" and brave enough to make changes. See how these digital pieces transform as you enjoy your journey through the Version 1 and 2 pairs below!
There were many times during this drawing where I should have called it a day.
The angle of the orange in this drawing was an exciting challenge and the improvement from Version 1 is obvious.
This heart-shaped orange bursts with sunny yellows and oranges, its segments radiating from the center like rays. White highlights dance through the fruit, capturing some juicy glow.
This juicy cross-section view glows with rich oranges and purples, each segment shining like a tiny sunset. The soft edges and deep shadows give this slice some serious depth.
This heart-shaped fried egg kicked off the 'Progress not Perfection' collection. Creamy whites fade into pale yellows and toasty edges, while the yolk glows golden-orange – though that bright white highlight makes it look a bit too overcooked. Not quite what I was aiming for, but that's the whole point of this series!
Take two on this egg! This version lets loose with swirling brushstrokes and bold colors – the whites dance with yellows and oranges, even catching some surprise blue-green at the edges. The yolk really shines, all glossy and bright, more expressive than realistic.
The second piece in my heart-motif series features a cherry playing a clever trick – its stem curves up to form half a heart, while its shadow completes the shape in soft green-grays. The fruit itself glows red with hints of yellow beneath, catching silvery-blue highlights.
Take two on the cherries! This time the stems twist together in bright yellow-greens to form the heart, while the fruit itself pops with deep reds and burgundies. I played with reflections in white, orange, and purple, letting the brushstrokes show through for a more playful vibe.
This strawberry slice reveals a sneaky surprise – nature's own heart pattern right in the center. Bright reds and oranges dance with white highlights, while green leaves crown the top. I kept the style loose and expressive to catch both the texture and that playful heart.
Version two shows off our strawberry from a fresh angle, letting those tiny yellow seeds pop against the deep red surface. The heart pattern in the center radiates with bright oranges and whites – a little burst of sunshine against the darker flesh.
Here's the apple, glowing with soft greens that blend from sunny yellow-greens to deeper shades. A tiny reddish-purple stem tops it off, while white highlights catch the light just right.
Take two: This split apple bursts with color – splashing yellows, oranges, reds, and even some bold teal into the mix. I let the brushstrokes run wild, keeping it abstract but still unmistakably apple-shaped. The white highlights really make it pop!
